In short

- Aegisrook shows you what your Mac is doing. It can’t catch everything, and the decisions about what to block or remove are yours.
These terms are between you and Aegisrook ("we", "us"), based in Singapore. Aegisrook is made by Zantific Pte. Ltd., Singapore. By downloading, installing or using Aegisrook, you agree to these terms.
Your licence
When you buy Aegisrook, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the version you bought on up to three Macs that you own. The licence is yours to use. You may not resell, share or sublicense it.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Paddle, our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle's checkout shows the price, and any sales tax, before you pay. Aegisrook is a one-time purchase. It isn't a subscription, and you won't be charged again automatically.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 30 days of buying, for any reason. See the refund policy.
If you live in the EU or the UK, the law gives you 14 days to cancel a purchase. The 30-day refund is longer, and applies everywhere.
Updates
Updates to the version you bought are included while that version is supported. A future major version may be offered as a separate purchase. You can turn automatic updates off in the app's settings.
What Aegisrook can and can't do
Aegisrook shows you what your Mac is doing and explains what it finds. It is not an antivirus engine, and it cannot detect every threat, scam or piece of malicious software. The limits are listed here.
Aegisrook asks before it blocks or removes anything. Decisions to allow, block or remove an item are yours. Items you remove are moved to the Trash, where you can get them back. Keep your own backups of anything that matters.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify or reverse engineer Aegisrook, except where the law allows it.
- Resell, redistribute or share the app or your licence key.
- Get around or interfere with the licence check.
- Use Aegisrook for anything unlawful, including monitoring a Mac you don't own or have permission to monitor.
Your data
What Aegisrook finds stays on your Mac. The privacy policy explains what the app contacts, and why.
No warranty
Aegisrook is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will be free of errors, that it will catch any particular threat, or that it suits any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Aegisrook is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of Aegisrook. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Aegisrook. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Ending the licence
If you break these terms, your licence ends and you must stop using Aegisrook. You can stop using it at any time by removing it from your Macs.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms in place when you bought Aegisrook continue to apply to that purchase.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
Trademarks
Apple, Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. Aegisrook isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc.
