Aegisrook checks for updates once a day. By default it asks before downloading one; you can have it download and install updates automatically instead. Updates to the version you bought are included while that version is supported.

Check now

Choose Aegisrook › Check for Updates… in the menu bar, or Check for Updates… in the menu bar icon’s menu. Or open Settings, choose the Help & Reset tab and click Check for Updates Now.

Choose how updates arrive

In Settings, in the Help & Reset tab, under Updates:

  • Check for updates automatically: once a day. On unless you turn it off.
  • Download and install updates automatically: off unless you turn it on. The update is installed the next time Aegisrook quits.

The same section shows your version and when Aegisrook last checked.

Is it safe?

Every update is signed by Aegisrook and checked before it’s installed, and the app itself is notarized by Apple. An update that isn’t signed with Aegisrook’s key is refused.

Blocklists update separately, about once a day. Apple’s malware rules come from macOS itself, and Apple keeps them up to date.

What changed in each version is on the release notes page.
